<p>Use whatever size hook you&#8217;re comfortable with.  Use whatever kind of yarn or thread you like.  By playing with different sizes of hooks and yarn, you&#8217;ll come up with different sizes of butterflies.</p>
<div>I prefer a Susan Bates size B hook and size 10 cotton thread.</div>

<div>Round 1 will be worked in the center of this ring.</div>

<div>Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc) 2 dc in ring; *ch 2 3 dc in ring*.  Repeat between * * until you have 8 sets of  (3dc).  Hdc in top of ch 3 to join.</div>
